You don't have to have cancer to need this message. You just have to be human.
Jeff Grogan has spent 35 years sitting with people at their most broken — as a psychiatric nurse, healthcare leader, and certified coach. Then life asked him to practice what he preached.
Diagnosed with stage four cancer. Twice. Still coaching. Still writing. Still climbing mountains.
Most keynote speakers will tell you resilience is a mindset. Jeff will show you what it actually costs - and how to build it anyway.
Drawing on 35 years of clinical experience, a board-certified coaching practice, and a cancer diagnosis that didn't stop him, Jeff delivers talks that don't feel like talks. They feel like the conversation you didn't know you needed.

The Inner Summit - The Book
Written during chemotherapy. Finished on infusion days. This is the book Jeff wrote so his daughters would someday know who their father was.
The Inner Summit maps the journey from Bound Nature to Free Nature — from the wounded, surviving version of yourself to the fearless, purposeful one waiting on the other side of the climb.
Grounded in neuroscience, positive psychology, and 35 years of clinical wisdom. Anchored in one man's unflinching honesty.
Simple. Not easy. But available to anyone willing to do the work.
About Jeff
The Man on the Trail
Jeff Grogan is a registered nurse, board-certified health and wellness coach, and the founder of Inner Summit Coaching. He has spent his career sitting with people at their most vulnerable — adolescents in crisis, parents carrying impossible weight, healthcare workers who've forgotten how to care for themselves.
In 2018, he was diagnosed with stage four prostate cancer. In 2025, a second — rarer, more aggressive form. He is currently receiving treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York City.
He has not stopped coaching. He has not stopped writing. He has not stopped climbing mountains in the Adirondacks.
Jeff lives in upstate New York with his wife Kayla and their two daughters, Lucy and Maeve. Mt. Marcy — all 5,344 feet of it — is still on his list.
